Skylla Screenshots

Program Log
The top position on the screen is always what’s on air right now. The second position is the “on deck” position. Below the date is a list of upcoming events in the log … spot breaks, songs, voice tracks, jingles … all audio events.

Unique Workspace
It’s drag-and-drop easy to place audio files in the unique workspace: the gray bar in the center of the screen. Keep them there until you’re ready to place them in the program log to play. This is perfect for live events like request shows or newscasts.

Workspace Expanded
Click on the workspace to expand it and reveal the names of each file waiting to play.

Hot Buttons
Click on the center tab in the middle of the screen, and you reveal the hot buttons. You can create an unlimited number of sets of buttons, customized by day, show, or user.

Satellite Mode
While in satellite mode, the show appears in the “now playing” slot at the top of the screen.

True Walkaway
Satellite events can load automatically into Skylla. Newscasts can be recorded and then inserted directly into the log without supervision.

Network News
Skylla easily handles the transition from network news to local breaks to satellite and back again.

Special Event Programming
Network sports events are integrated directly into the program log. Sublogs are created for all of the different spot breaks you need … end of quarter, injury time outs, rain delays, etc. Skylla automatically handles games that end after midnight or games that have non-standard events such as pitching changes, rain delays or other unscheduled time-outs. No problem!

Connections
Click the triangle on the lower left part of the screen to open the direct access to relays, audio inputs and closure logs

Instant Inventory Access
All audio inventory is instantly available by clicking on the small triangle on the lower right hand edge of the screen. Jingles, music, news files … all are sorted and searchable in the categories that you define.

Skylla Web Components
With your web browser, you can access Smarts Web Components. This is where you will do the traffic/music merge, set up the Unattended Recorder, configure SmartWeb and gain access to the NPR Content Depot.

Content Depot
Direct access to NPR’s Content Depot allows you to import audio files easily into Skylla’s library.

Content Depot Made Easy
Just assign the standard cart numbers to the shows that are in your program log, download them, and they’ll automatically slide into place on your program log.

Merge Music and Traffic Logs
See immediately what days have had logs uploaded. Need to update? Reload any day’s logs without a problem.

Completed Merge
After the merge is complete, you can print any errors, print the entire log, or return to the merge screen and merge another day’s log.

Any Merge Errors?
Missing files or any other errors uncovered in the merge of the day’s log are highlighted for easy repair.
